Key Information for Potential Sponsors and Acknowledgement by Sponsor
Disclaimers
Capstone projects are scheduled according to academic semesters and vary depending on the major in which the student is enrolled. All engineering, engineering technology, and computer science programs align their projects with the relevant semester. For example, a project may start in January and finish in May for the spring semester or start in August and finish in December for the fall semester.
Typically, teams of three to five senior students work on each project.
A faculty advisor mentors students for each project and meets regularly with them.
Sponsors may assign an industry advisor who will communicate regularly with the student team and provide technical support when needed.
Projects should be designed for approximately 300-400 hours of student project work depending on team size.
Student project results are provided "as is" without any representation or warranties whatsoever, whether express or implied, including, but not necessarily limited to any warranty as to fitness for particular purposes, merchantability or non-infringement.
All research performed is to be done by university students and is not subject to peer review or independent verification of results.
